Vincennes Woman Arrested Following Police Chase

Knox County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Vincennes woman Monday following a high-speed chase that ended at the Lincoln Memorial Bridge, which is closed for repairs.

Sheriff’s deputies were chasing a car driven by 55-year-old Michelle Williams when she crashed into the bridge twice before being taken into custody.

Authorities say Williams was driving while impaired by illegal drugs.

Williams is facing preliminary charges of Operating While Impaired, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Recklessness, Reckless Driving, and Operating While Intoxicated — Endangerment.

She was booked into the Knox County Jail on $5,000 bond.
